Refinishing
Hardwood floor refinishing
Sand worn hardwood down and restore the natural appearance of the floor. A refinish is the usual answer when the finish is tired across a room: dull traffic lanes, scratches through the surface, or a color you want to change.
Sanding
Hardwood floor sanding
Sanding takes the old finish off the hardwood you already have so the surface is level and the grain is ready for stain or a new finish. Ask for hardwood floor sanding on its own, or as part of a full refinish.
Restoration
Hardwood floor restoration
Restore older hardwood flooring while preserving the character of the home. Older houses in Northeast Ohio often have floors worth keeping — wide boards, original grain, a color that belongs with the trim. Restoration is about bringing that floor back, not covering it up.
Staining
Hardwood floor staining
Staining changes the color of hardwood as part of a refinish. Homeowners use it to take a yellowed oak floor toward a lighter natural tone, or to move a room to a medium or darker brown.
Color depends on the species and on how the wood takes the stain. Photos and a short description are how we talk through realistic options for your floor, by phone or text.
Screen & recoat
Screen & recoat
A screen and recoat refreshes a finish that has gone dull but still protects the wood. It is the lighter option when the floor does not need to be sanded down to bare wood.
